We collect the following information when you use Alive Album:

• Email address (required for a requested free-preview notification and delivery of your purchased video)
• Images you upload (processed to create your album)
• Payment information (processed securely through Stripe)
• Job status and processing information

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process and deliver your video album
• Send your requested preview-ready email, saved-album link, and purchased-video completion notifications. Requesting a preview does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
• Process payments
• Improve our service and troubleshoot issues

3. Data Storage

Your images and videos are stored securely on Google Cloud Platform. Unpaid preview albums expire 30 days after the first preview request. We then delete their uploaded photos, generated clips, notification records, email address, and associated job data through scheduled cleanup. Pending payments are reconciled before deletion. Purchased final videos are retained for delivery under our existing service. Anyone with your private album link can access that album; keep the link private.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data transmission is encrypted, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe: Payment processing (see Stripe's privacy policy)
• Email delivery: Our configured SMTP email provider (Google Gmail by default) processes your email address and service-message content to deliver requested notifications.
• Google Cloud Platform: Data storage and processing
• PostHog: We measure page visits, steps in the album creation process, purchases, and delivery outcomes using a random visitor identifier. We do not send your photos, videos, email address, or support messages to PostHog. Session recording is disabled. See PostHog's privacy policy.
• Replicate.com: AI animation processing
• Meta (Pixel and Conversions API): We use Meta Pixel to measure website interactions and send confirmed purchase and checkout events from our server for advertising measurement. These events may include the transaction value, currency, product purchased, Meta browser or ad-click identifiers, IP address, browser information, and a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address, which Meta uses to match the purchase to an ad and does not receive in readable form. We do not send your photos, videos, or readable email address in our server conversion events. Tracking respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Meta may collect information about your visit to our website, including pages viewed and actions taken (such as purchases). This data is used to measure ad performance and may be used to show you relevant ads. For more information, see Meta's Privacy Policy.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies, including:

• Essential cookies: Required for basic website functionality
• Product analytics: PostHog uses browser storage to connect visits and creation steps. Its tracking respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
• Analytics and advertising cookies: We use Meta Pixel to track website usage and conversions for advertising purposes. These technologies help us understand how visitors interact with our site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. Meta Pixel may collect information such as page views, actions taken on our site, device information, and IP address.
